Overview

Our Purpose

 

The Advanced College and Career Magnet Center is a brand new school, opened in 2023, in the Tangipahoa Parish School System.  In what was formally Independence Middle School, the newly-renovated Advanced C&C's main focus is to provide equity to all TPSS students.  Juniors and seniors from across the parish get bused to the Advanced C&C in the morning to take specialty courses that may not be offered at their homeschools.  We offer a wide variety of medical, information technology, and college courses that give students the opportunity to earn professional credentials and/or college credits.  

New phases of development in 2024 and 2025 will provide more opportunities for students to study and work hands-on in new career paths.
